What better way to celebrate Book Lover’s Day on August 9 than by reading a book with your little ones? We asked some of our staff members to share their favorite children’s book, and we’d like to know what yours is, too!
Nikki Dettore – Director, Laguna Niguel, CA
Favorite Book: The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds
Why: I absolutely love this book because it encourages everyone to dream big and always thrive to inspire! Make your mark on the world, no matter how big or small.
Sarah Redwine – Director, Baltimore, MD
Favorite Book: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
Why: I always loved that this book depicted what I viewed as a relationship between a parent and a child. How amazing would it be if we could all find someone who loved us unconditionally and was willing to give anything to help us succeed? This is what I strive for in my school. To provide an environment where children feel like everyone is rooting for them and where they know they are loved.
Ms. Brianna Kobayashi – Team Lead/Lead VPK Instructor, Oviedo, FL
Favorite Book: The Rattletrap Car by Phyllis Root
Why: I love how the family is always becoming inventive with the different items thqat they have to fix their car. It is fun and always exfciting to see what will happen next!
Debbie Swank – Lead Skill Builders Teacher, Des Moines, IA
Favorite Book: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault
Why: Because it gets the children involved and excited!
